Photo Tips & Information
Photo Tips
Be sure to take a profile photo of your subject in a well-lit room or outdoors (please use a flash when necessary) against a solid neutral background. Posture is important--people look better when photographed standing, while pets usually look better when sitting.  A neutral expression works best--profile features change greatly when smiling, laughing or with mouth open. You should be at the subject's eye level for the best perspective.

Please have hair styled as you would like it to appear, but keep in mind I can modify if needed. For example, if your subject's facial features look better in one photo, but the hair style looks better in another--send them both to me. We all have bad hair days!  Just make sure you include specific instructions on how you'd like to have your photos incorporated. I will work with you to make changes based on your specifications.

Styling/Specifications
Please let me know the level of detail you would like. Lace collars, ringlet curls of a hairstyle and other small details can often be the crowning detail for your portrait. Just let me know what you love about your subject!

Be sure to include the final image size you would like (based on the frame/matting you will be using) and if you would like a border treatment. Include any additional information which may be helpful in creating your portrait. If you have any questions please
contact me. I'd be happy to walk you through the process personally and answer any questions you might have.
